FIFA World Ranking 2009: Algeria’s team 26th ends year on a global high
Algeria’s team has reached its highest ever FIFA World Ranking, after securing a place at the World Cup 2010.

Algeria’s team qualification to the World Cup South Africa 2010 helps it occur at the 26th place up 38 places and 5th in the African ranking, between Egypt and Ghana.It is described as the Best Mover of the Year, whose total pints increased by the same number as Brazil’s.

Behind Brazil and Algeria, Slovenia’s team, which will play against Algeria, next summer’s 13th June, comes at the 31st, up 26 places with 235 points.

English team, in the group C, to meet Algeria on June 18th, is 9th, however, USA comes in the 14th place.

Algeria’s team was ranked 28th last November.

Spain remains the world’s top rated side ahead of Brazil, whilst Cameroon stay top in Africa, just outside the global top ten.

Ivory Coast and Nigeria are in second and third place respectively in the African list – 16th and 22nd in the world.
