Following a 70% teachers’ strike, Benbouzid to open dialogue with the protesters

The Minister of the National Education, Abou Bakre Ben Bouzid, said on Sunday, that he will call on the independent education unions, the beginning of next week, in order to open the file for compensation of the grants and allowances, which will be included in the salaries of teachers and professors and the employees of the sector, as supplementary to the increases which will follow the list of applied salaries since January 2008.

      

  • The Minister of Educational met Tuesday with the members of the national office of the teachers of secondary stage and technical education, in order to discuss the demands of the teachers and professors who went on strike, Sunday, as well as discussing the file of the professors and the teachers contractors, as a document on the most important demands was handed to the minister.
  • A statement of the “Cnapest” union Tuesday, said that the meeting  of the National Council will be held on October 9, to study the reports of the Localities and deliberation for the protest movement and the future plan, as the statement reported that the volume of the strike exceeded 79%, particularly in the secondary schools, as the Ministry of Education said that the rate of the strike reaches 40%.
  • On his part, Messauod Boudiba, spokesman of “Cnapest” told Echorouk that the meeting with the minister was the result of a strike and protest, Monday.
