Ibrahim Faradj

Algeria's national coach Rabah Saâdane is reported to be completely unsatisfied with the performance displayed on the pitch by Brest's Algerian player Ibrahim Faradj during a match versus Boulogne- sur- mer he supervised lately together with his close collaborators in France.

  • Well-informed sources told “Echorouk” that Rabah Saâdane received a invitation from the managing staff of the French outfit of Brest in order to see for himself the potentialities of Ibrahim Faradj on the pitch in view of including him in the Algeria line-up.
  • The same sources indicated that Faradj was completely off the track during this test- match versus the Boulogne- sur- mer  team, stressing that disillusioned Saâdane even quit the stands of the stadium 5 minutes before the referee’s final whistle.
  • *Lahcen ignores Saâdane’s “SMS” messages.
  • Furthermore, the national football coach is said to have brushed aside the idea of capping the player of Santander club Mehdi Lahcen who has, so far, wholly ignored Saâdane’s repeated calls for an encounter.
  • This clearly means that this Franco – Algerian player is not interested at all in joining the Algerian national squad, preferring ostensibly to devote himself entirely to his club.
  • *The Hemdani track is again the order of the day.
  • Rabah Saâdane now plans to recall the Algerian player of Glasgow Rangers, Ibrahim Hemdani, in a bid to beef up the national squad’s “shaky” midfield in view of Hemdani’s professional experience despite the latter’s lack of competition this season with his Scottish team.
  • *Saâdane and his collaborators have not found the ideal sporting site for the Greens’ next training camp overseas.
  • During their recent travels abroad, the national coach and his assistants didn’t finally manage to find the appropriate sporting site for the next training camp of the Algeria line-up.
  • They toured several sites in southern France, in Barcelona and in Italy but to no avail.
  • The visited sporting infrastructures were either not up to the mark or overbooked for long periods of time.
  • *The much – awaited Algeria – Egypt qualifier will be held under the floodlights.
  • According to a FIFA program, the qualifying match between Algeria and Egypt slated for June 7th 2009 will be played starting from 8h 30 mn p.m at night on account of the heat of the summer season prevailing during the day.
  • The “Greens” will also face Zambia on June 20th in a first – leg match and the return match is stated for September 5th in Algeria.
  • The “Fennecs” will receive Rwanda on October 10th before playing their last qualifying match in Cairo versus Egypt on November 14th 2009.
