Football: Rabah Saâdane Hints at Changes in Algerian national Team

The Algerian coach Rabah Saâdane has said he will make some “light changes” to the 24 man team he picks from the 34 preselected players he announced earlier this week.

• In an interview with the national radio, Algeria team coach Rabah Saadane has indicated that he plans on making a few changes in his final squad of 24 players which he will select from the 34 player pool he announced a few days ago while assuring that they would not be radical ones.

  “I wouldn’t expect an upheaval in the list of 24. Of course there will be some adjustments but without upsetting the regular composition [of the team]. After all, I’m not going to change everything since the players, on the whole, have given me satisfaction. We’ll probably make some slight changes,” he explained.

  Furthermore, Saadane said that he was taking full precautions and making sure that all 34 pre-selected players apply for Visas for France and South Africa where the Fennecs are expected to train prior to their upcoming World cup qualifiers versus Egypt and Zambia respectively.

  The decision was taken in order to avoid the possibility of players who don’t make the list of 24 being unable to join the squad in case someone in the final list suffers an injury or has to be replaced for whatever reason.
