Foreign investments in oil exploration in Algeria did not exceed $17 billion: Report
A recent report by the Ministry of Energy and Mines, shows that the direct foreign investments in this sector exceeds $17 billion during the period between 2000 and 2008 with an annual average of about $2 billion, the report also showed that these flows of investments includes foreign partners in the field of exploration and development of fuels and establishment of electric stations and units of water desalination.

The report said the total value of the Algerian exports in fuels between 2000 and 2008 reached $349 billion, including 22% realized by Algeria in 2008, the year which noticed a significant rise of oil prices in the global market.
