Former GIA leader appears on a video type instead of Droudkel

In a video message posted recently on the internet by the terrorist operating in the Salafit Group for Preach and Combat who goes by the name of Yazid Mubarek , nicknamed” Abu Obeida Youcef”, this one has shed light on the state of fear that is prevailing inside this organization ahead of the likely mass offensive from the North African countries and the US through the “AFRICOM”.

• The appearance in the video tape of the former mastermind of then- Armed Islamic Group (GIA) during the nineties in the eastern parts of Algeria more specifically, Annaba and Skikda, could be translated as clear message for an eventual takeover of the organization’s leadership in replacement of the Abdelmalek Droudkel, though many experts rule out this possibility arguing that the terrorist has appeared in videos several times in the past.
• In the 18 minute run video message Obeida Youcef , has disclosed US- Europe led  plot in the offing against his organization to sway the Sub-Saharan authorities and people to join forces in a move to wage an all-out a war.
• In the beginning of the message, the terrorist explains the reason behind the release of this video which has been prompted by fears over a likely offensive from the AFRICOM with the help of the Sub- Saharan nations ‘military troops against the organization’s strongholds in the region.
• Abu Obeida called on these countries’ governments and people alike for not yielding to, what he billed, as the US plots which, according to him, put forth their sole interests at the expense of the others, hinting to the Iraqi and Afghan examples.
• The video appears to be a desperate call from a waning organization in the wake of the tremendous efforts deployed by the Algerian authorities to hunt down the remnant terrorist groups in the Sub-Saharan regions and other neighboring countries.
• The video, released by “Da&r Andaluss”, shows highlights of the kidnapping of the Spanish tourists carried out by more than 20 terrorists leading the tourists to a four-wheel drive car “Helux” to an unknown destination.
