Former political party members involved in a tragic crime in Algiers
The detective division of Algiers’ police has, the day before yesterday, arrested three members of the former modern socialist party “ PAGSâ€, founded by the late Al Hachemi Cherif, in the wake of the forensics’ report that proved their implication in the murder of a woman in her 30s.
- The details of the tragic case that shocked the inhabitants of the compound of “ Telemly” upper Algiers, go back to December 29, when the tenants of “ Lafayette” building , where the headquarters of the former party are located, have informed the local security forces that a corpse of a woman in an advanced stage of decomposition was lying in the building’s basement.
- The forensics have moved to the crime’s scene and carried out a thorough examination on the corps before transferring it to the morgue of Mustapha Bacha’s hospital. The investigators have concluded that the 35 year old woman was killed by strangulation.
- Evidences have revealed that the three former members of the political party were involved in the heinous crime of the woman who lives in the same building where the party’s headquarters are located.
- The three convicts have vehemently denied the accusations despite clear evidences over their implication, but some sources have revealed that the victim has threatened them to make public details over their involvement in a shady deal unless she benefits from her part.
- The corpse was discovered by one of the inhabitants who rushed to the nearest police station to inform them. The investigations are still underway to make the light on the inns and outs of this tragic case.
