The general director of the National Office for Hajj and Omra (ONHO) Berbara Cheikh said 13 Algerian hajjis (pilgrims) died during the annual Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca.

Mr Berbara further told Echorouk reporter that four hajjis in poor health condition were repatriated home immediately after they fulfilled Hajj rituals, denying, however, the complicity of some doctors; in terms of formulation fake good health certificate for people suffering chronic diseases.

Elsewhere, the first return flight took off Thursday at 10.30 pm from Jeddah airport, while the first return flight from Medina airport is scheduled for 17 November, noting that 141 flights are scheduled to bring Algerian hajjis home.

Yet, Hajj organizers have scheduled 33 journeys to carry 11 000 Algerian hajjis from Mecca to Medina, before returning home, to offer them the opportunity to visit this holly city.
