Four leaders in the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat support Hattab’s efforts
Four leaders of the most prominent founders of the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat GSPC called on terrorists to stop their activities and benefit from the measures of the national reconciliation.

They also declared, for the first times, their support for Hassan Hattab, former leader and founder of the Salafist Group, efforts.

Their statements, based on the opinion of many Imams and Muslim preachers, criticised the legitimacy of the terrorists’ cause, focusing on the Sheikh Abdulkder Abdulaziz, who is one of Al-Qaida’s ideologues.

Hassan Hattab’s communications, since he surrendered to the authorities, focused on collecting the former leaders who surrendered earlier and finally resulted in a collective anf unique initiative that calls on the terrorists in the mountains to surrender.

In their letter, available at Echorouk, carried by their signatures, they said “We invite you to join us and return to your families and normal lives. Where were we and where we are now”, in reference to their present situation.

The statement by Mourad nicknamed ‘Abou Omar Abdelbar”, head of the media committee and member of the Shura council and a founding member of the Salafist Group, who joined the terrorist group in 1993 then surrendered in 2005, and Rabie Cherif Said also known as Abou Zakaria, head of the medical committee and member of the Shura council, as well as Ben Messaoud Abdelkader, nicknamed Mosab Abou Daoud, leader of the ninth region who surrender summer 2007, and Mehdi Noureddine, nicknamed Abou Houtheifa and known as Marechale, leader of the soldiers in the fifth region, eastern regions, Tebessa, surrendered lust year. They all expressed their support for Hattab’s efforts and said they advised their fellows who stayed in the mountains to join them and forget all about the past errors in order to begin a new life and come back to their relatives who are always waiting for them.
