France: Masked Gunmen Kill Algerian Man Near Marseille

A 28-year-old Algerian man hailing from Constantine province, eastern Algeria, was shot dead on Thursday at the level of the Aix-au-Provence area, about 33 km away from the southern city of Marseille, (France), where he died of fatal injuries.

The victim was assaulted by masked gunmen and one of them fired a hail of bullets from a Kalashnikov assault rifle hitting him lethally.

The victim was swiftly transferred by ambulance to the city hospital, whose medical crew confirmed his tragic death.

Meanwhile, the French police services opened an in-depth investigation into the circumstances surrounding the murder.
