Frederoc Kanoute
Mali star Frederic Kanoute, and Spanish club FC Seville, expressed regret follwing the early exit of Mali team from the Africa Cup of Nations Angola 2010, despite the win over Malawi 3/1 in the last match on Monday.
-
Kanoute said in a statement to the website of the company sponsoring the African Federation; “I am very disappointed and I can’t express in words. We must recognise that our team has some problems that have had a significant impact on this failure”.

The reaction of Mamadou Bagayoko was not different asserting that there are many problems in the Malian team because it does not have good players, despite it has the best midfield in Africa, however, there is a very weak performance for the collective game.

The Nigerian Stephen Keshi, who is the coach of the Malian team, acknowledges the large disappointment following the exclusion of the team from Angola; “Before I was Mali’s team coach, ten coaches did not succeed in creating a good team”.

All these statements are enough to respond to the allegations of the Egyptians particularly, who accused the Algerians and Angolans, following the qualification, of preparing a scenario in order to qualify, thing which proves that our “Brothers” were hoping to see the Desert Foxes out of the Africa Cup.
