French insurance companies wish immediate return to Algeria

French Minister in charge of budget, public accounts and works, Eric Wroth, now visiting Algeria, said the French assurance companies are completely ready to enter the Algerian market.  

• He added that the Algerian assurance market has the important growth opportunities in the Mediterranean region, thing which encourages discussion of this point as fast as possible with the Algerian Finance Ministry.

• “The bilateral agreement between France and Algeria last year in Paris, put an end to a 24 years conflict. It will allow the French insurance companies to work in Algeria”, he says.

• The agreement signed between the Algerian public companies, including SAA and SAAR and the French companies “A.J.F”, “Aviva France”, “AXA”, “Groupam” and “MMA”, based on the establishment of joint sectors between the Algerian and French companies which wish to work in Algeria. 

• “ A high school specialized in the field of in surance in Algeria will be established in cooperation with the Algerian government, this project will be discussed with the Finance  Minister Karim Djoudi. Projects related to finance and customs cooperation, as well as the fight against financial crime and money laundering, funding terrorism and affects of the global financial crisis will be discussed as well”, he added.
