French MPS: “Algerians Committed Massacres Against French Nationals On July,5, 1962 In Oran”
A group of French MPs submitted a draft law to the National Assembly (parliament) alleging that the Algerians committed what they called the “horrific massacres, retaliation and public executions in public squares” against the French and Europeans in Oran on July 5, 1962, asking the French state to recognize these “massacres”.
The bill was signed by eight deputies, Laurence Trastour Isnart, Michel Tabarot, Patrice Verchére, Eric Bouger, Bernard Brochand, Eric Ciotti, Bernard Devilcelle and Eric Diard.
The bill, which copy was published by Echorouk in a copy which was published on 8 pages, said that the initiative was registered with the presidency of the French National Assembly on September,27, 2017.
The text of the bill is in the form of a single article that was drafted in two lines, and said: “The French Republic recognizes the massacres of the French population that took place on 5 July in Oran” (…)!
The deputies signatories to the bill said that the recognition of former French President Francois Holland in October 2012, of what they describe as the “killings” of Algerians in October 1961 in Paris, as the description was intentional, describing what happened on the River Saint-Paris as the “killings” that can not be described as massacres, considering that Netherlands move is another step that reflects the authorities’ desire to ignore those who paid their lives to be “French” during that period.
French MPs claimed in the presentation of the reasons for the initiative, what was presented to France and Oran as “mass massacres”, after using the testimonies and writings which they said were for Frenchmen who lived the event and a number of journalists who were present in the meantime.
