French Visas Granted to Algerians Decrease By 40% Compared to 2015

The French Interior Ministry published a report that included the number of visas granted by Paris to foreigners in general and Algerians in particular in 2024.
According to the report, checked out by Echorouk Online, the number of visas granted to Algerians during 2024 for tourism, study, and business reached 250,095, a decrease of more than 40% compared to 2015.
The source indicates that Algerians rank third after Chinese and Moroccans in obtaining an entry visa to French territory. They ranked fourth in 2023 after the Chinese, the Moroccans and the Indians, which refuted all statements by the French far-right claiming that the 1968 agreement gives preference to Algerians compared to other nationalities.
The same report reveals that 283,023 visas were granted to Moroccans in 2024, thus proving the disparity in the number of visas granted to the two countries that has remained clear since 2018. This confirms that Paris has been violating this agreement signed with Algeria years ago and that its Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau’s statements stipulating the suspension of its implementation are only intended to pressure Algeria.
