Gaid Salah: we look forward to rely on ourselves in the field of military industries

General Ahmed Gaid Salah, vice-defence minister stressed the necessity of relying on the army’s capacities progressively in the field of military industry.

“You know that the ambition to rely on us progressively in the field of military industries is a continuous preoccupation. All the soldiers including those working in the field of research, development and military industrialization should think of that,” said Gaid Salah Thursday on a visit to the province of Annaba.

He met with military executives and highlighted the importance given by the National Popular Army to the modernization and development of sea forces.

“The big importance we give to the construction and reparation of ships is not only in favour of sea forces but it is also open to public and private sea fishing sector. Everyone is aware of the economic and social importance of fishing boats,” he said.

“Because of that, I call on military executives to master technology needed in the construction of ships,” he added.
