Gaza trail arrives to Algeria pending George Galloway
An important caravan of humanitarian aid heading for Gaza and led by the British MP George Galloway along with 280 high profile personalities, is setting foot in the town of Maghnia, province of Tlemcen ( western Algeria) after a special derogation from the Algerian authorities who opened their frontiers with Morocco 15 years to their closing down.

Large crowds, officials and international media welcomed the caravan that comprised 100 loaded trucks with foodstuffs and other commodities, destined to the population of Gaza. The trail will cross different Algerian cities staring from Oran (Western Algeria) to Annaba (Eastern Algeria) passing by Algiers till its final destination in Gaza.

Talking yesterday to “Echorouk” the dean of the Arab lawyers, Sabah Mokhtari, declared that he was constantly in contact with the Algerian authorities to insure the success of this operation. The trail is set to leave the Algerian soil for Tunisia Monday night.

For his part, the British MP George Galloway was forced to leave Morocco for London to settle an urgent matter and come back tomorrow Sunday to Algiers, Sabah Mokhtari said. Galloway insisted to be in Algeria because he is the initiator of the project and known for his support for the Palestinian cause.
