Giant quantities of firecrackers seized by security forces

National gendarmerie services have seized important quantities of firecrackers in the provinces of Setif and Al Eulma (eastern Algeria) imported by businessmen in order to be used for the celebrations of the likely victory of the Algerian squad versus Zambia.

• The precise quantity reached 805280 firecrackers with a value of 64 million Algerian Dinars, sources revealed. Most of it includes fireworks destined for celebrations in the streets across the country after the win.

• The same sources revealed that all types of explosives were brought for the occasion some of them have the same sound effect as the real ones known as “Bin Ladden”. This type is very prised because of its thundering sound.

• Another less noisy type of explosive is known “Zidane” , echoing the famous head strike during the last world cup on the Italian Materrazi.

• The Algerian fans have already impressed their Fellow Tunisians when they used the same types of explosives during the match versus Al Monastir in a recent past.
