Government stopped powers of legislation from the parliament

Algerian govenment rejected the proposed bill, approved by the council and adopted by the National Council in the current summer, on amending the organic law that contains the election system, that was submitted by the MP Kamel Rezki, for the National Liberation Front, a law which was subject of attempts to adjust by several political parties represented in the lower room.

  • The proposed bill was the focus of the lower chamber, headed by Abdelaziz Ziari in June 7, 2009, and was admitted and then transferred to the government to respond within sixty days as specified in the constitution, the organic law governing the relationship between the national parliament and the council, and between the parliament and government.
