Government to launch a new version for “Ousratik†program
The Algerian Minister of Posts and Communication Technologies, Hamid Bessal, said government is not satisfied with the current price of high-speed internet “ADSLâ€.

“Government is currently coordinating with Algeria’s communication and other institutions “Ittisalat” in thr field of internet in order to prepare and study new reductions in the prices of internet taking into account the minimum wage base and the purchasing power of citizens. The new cuts will be announced in the coming weeks to make them accessible to all citizens, by adapting it to the minimum wage base of workers in both the private and public sectors, as the development of the use of internet in Algeria is linked to “SNMG”, he says.

“Government will not abolish Bouteflika’s program “Ousratik” despite stopping the consumer loans. Government will adopt new solutions, particularly for this program starting from next September and October for sale of the computers. The study on the new version of “Ousratik” will be launched by government on the near future”, he adds.
