Hadj Aissa banned from Algeria football squad

Algerian national football coach Rabeh Saadane said player Hadj Aissa paid the cost of his fault and he excluded him for discipline reasons.

• “In our training in France, I told the players is there was one of them who did not want to be a substitute, he must leave,” said Saadane.
• “Hadj Aissa protested when he was not allowed to play against Egypt. Because of that, I decided to let him go and exclude him from the match against Zambia,” he added.
• He did not say whether Hadj Aissa was excluded from the squad for good or not. He just said he “will not be with us against Zambia.”

• Hadj Aissa said he has a good relation with Saadane and he is ready to come back to the national squad. “I was excluded from the squad for personal conditions.”

• It is said you were fired from the national squad. Is it true?

• No. I was not fired. The point is I am passing through a difficult period at present. I needed my passport. I will deposit at the British consulate to get a visa to train with Portsmouth.

• But it is not a justification to leave the squad which is flying to South Africa for training ahead of the match against Zambia due to be held on June 20th?

• I left the training after talking with coach Saadane who gave me my passport because I have to go to England for the trainings.

• But reports say you insulted the staff?

• That’s not true. I respect Saadane and I consider him as a father.

• But you did not like the fact to not play in the match against Egypt?

• I wanted to play and contribute in Algeria’s victory.
