Hanoune calls for a debate with Benflis

Leader of Workers’ Party and candidate for the presidential elections Louisa Hanoune Sunday criticized the US and Qatar for trying to blackmail Algeria, saying the American State Secretary Jhon Kerry’s expected visit embodies innocent intentions.

“The elections may go out from its peaceful frame. That would turn it into scenarios similar to what happened in Libya and Syria. Peaceful solution to change the current situation passes by free, transparent and peaceful elections on April 17^th,” Hanoune told a rally in the province of Batna (east of Algeria).

She added that candidate Ali Benflis plans to make Algeria dependent on foreign forces and asked for a debate with him.
