Hicham Hosni To Echorouk: ” Creation Of A NATO Intelligence Base In Tunisia Targets Algeria”

NATO wants to open an intelligence center in Tunisia and deploy AWACS aircrafts in Turkey, so as to support the local competent security authorities in Tunisia, Jens Stoltenberg, General Secretary of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) said in a press conference on Saturday.

Tunisia is facing since the overthrow of Ben Ali, an encroach of terrorist groups that hit several times the Tunisian economy through its focus on hitting the tourism sector, and which contributed to the deterioration of the security situation is the case of sedition in Libya, and attempts of ISIS in more than one occasion to invade Tunisia, to include the Ben Guerdene maritime and southern area to the ISIS control, but Tunisia, which resorted to foreign forces, according to Tunisian media which confirmed its presence, was able to respond to these attacks, to keep the security challenge greater than the ability of the possibilities that are available to Tunisia, which prompted the West, which is suffering from terrorism, to think seriously about developing an advanced defence base to protect its national security, and it preferred Tunisia, which seems that it has been formally adopted by Tunisia’s agreement.

Echorouk asked the Tunisian Politician Hicham Hosni, the Popular Progressive Party leader, who said that the NATO’s intention to open an office of intelligence in Tunisia, under the pretext of counter-terrorism and illegal immigration, is considered a focus on creating a military base, as Tunisia had already rejected the proposal earlier as this would affect its national sovereignty .

“Opening this office in Tunisia will have negative and dangerous repercussions, either internally or on the neighbouring countries, where it is no longer a secret that the armed terrorist religious groups is a creation of the CIA, and they were hired and are still employed to achieve its political objectives in several countries of the world, a,d one of these goals now is to divide the Arab world, and the establishment of the new Middle East project, and the American and Zionist intelligence did not change their policy, as they employed terrorist gangs, to make it happen in Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Libya, and now they are targeting Saudi Arabia and Algeria. They have a desire to create an Office of Intelligence in Tunisia, in order to facilitate their mission in the region, because being close to the places of tension will facilitate the infiltration of terrorist groups like ISIS to Tunisia then to Algeria, and speed up the deployment of chaos in Algeria after raising it in southern Tunisia”.

“Permission to open an intelligence office in Tunis will only increase in the high frequency of terrorism there and destabilize the region. It is considered a blatant assault on the national sovereignty, and if the Tunisian government will agree to this situation, we, as political and social components, consider it a treason to the homeland.”
