Hooliganism: RCK and NAHD supporters clash, cars destructed and 23 arrested

Heavy clashes between supporters of NA Hussein-Dey and RC Kouba football clubs caused several serious injuries among the supporters and police officers who hardly controlled the situation.

The clashes sparked in Kouba suburban in Algiers, next to the communal swimming pool, near Press House. 

The youngster supporters used stones, batons and knives causing thus serious injuries to each other in head; others have been stubbed in the back and evacuated to hospital to endure medical treatments.

Meanwhile, some supporters have destructed police vans and three cars of people living near the Kouba Stadium.

However, a policeman has been stubbed in the back and evacuated to hospital for treatment, in addition to others injured in their hands and legs. 

A van belonging to Echorouk parked near the Press House, has been set in fire, and completely destructed. 

Law and order forces have arrested 23 hooligans and likely to be heard today by the general prosecutor.
