Housing: Echorouk published the map of residential projects in Algiers

Director of Housing in Algiers, Ismail Loumi, told Echorouk that his services began to prepare accurate studies on the residential projects that are programmed in the framework of the agreement between the municipalities and the CNEP, which stopped their works since the nineties of the last century because of the problem of funding, pursuant to the strict instructions by the Housing Minister, Abdelmadjid Tebboune; “It aimed to resurrect the project of housing in municipalities -CNEP- and rehabilitate it, and convert it to one of the available formulas, and meet the demands of Algiers’ residents”.

“The minister confirmed the need to resurrect the project by doing the necessary researches. The process will include all houses of the municipality -CNEP- in capital, which are 2,500 houses, and will be starting as a first step in the rebirth of Works in 1700 houses, distributed to municipalities of Bouzareah and Ouled Fayet, Dar Beida, Bab Zouar and others. The process will include other 800 houses, after the deportation of inhabitants in the framework of the program of re-housing in Algiers. It is the only residential outcome that is stalled since the nineties”.
