Three bodyguards instead of two were assigned the duty to protect each of them backed by two security elements from the back. In addition to their personal arms the bodyguards were provided with sophisticated sub-machine guns.

The security alert was raised by the British authorities after the killing of two soldiers and a policeman in Northern Ireland by armed individuals affiliated to the so called “ Real Irish Republican Army” and the “ Continuity of the Irish Republican Army”.

The “Sunday Express” yesterday quoted a security source reporting” those crazy (in a reference to the armed individuals) consider the two princes as a legitimate target” adding that the maximum is done to assure the protection of Harry and William who usually go to night clubs when they are off duty, becoming thus an easy target.
