International drug trafficking network arrested south of Algeria

The judicial police of Bechar, south of Algeria, arrested 10 people belonging to the most dangerous international drug trafficking networks that are active in Morocco, Algeria and Libya.

 

       
  • The delicate operation culminated in the arrest of Moroccans in Ethnia, five meters from Moughel, north of Bechar. The traffickers are aged between 31 and 35 years old, and one of them is Algerian Moroccan who was judicially followed after being involved in drug trafficking from Morocco to Libya via Algeria.

  • According to information, available to Echorouk, the process to arrest the international network is unique and first of the kind by the judicial police of Bechar, south of Algeria.

  • Reliable sources also told Echorouk that the last operation revealed the presence of 20 Moroccans who are active in the Moroccan city Ketama and the Algerian borders, as well as other international networks in Morocco.
  • The arrest of the Moroccans revealed on the presence of other smugglers, particularly after the arrest of two families living in a castle north of Bechar in the borders with Morocco. The two families were dealing with the drug traffickers for years.

  • 32 kg of cannabis that were directed to a citizen in the border region Boukais were seized as well.
