Interpol chases 109 wanted Algerians

General Directorate of National Security, launched the CID preparation which carry the characteristics of delinquents and judicially unprecedented criminals, as it provides , in the framework of modernizing the police sector, an IT system for the digitalization of the services which belong to it.

In this context, Interior Minister, Tayeb Belais, inaugurated, along with the General Manager of National Security,
Maj. Gen. Abdelghani Hamel, the Exhibition of New Technologies for National Security in the Pins Maritime palace of exhibitions.

During his presentation of the police achievements in the field of public security, police inspector, Aissa Nail, said; “Subway and tramway police subjected 42768 people for inspection and control, and dealt in one year with 6531 cases, related to disturbing public order”.

For his part, manager of human resources at the GDNS, colonel Mohamed Ben Irad, said; “DHR is keen to conduct the professional carrier of its employees. Number of employees at the GDNS moved from 166,348 in 2010, to 170,638 in 2011, and 188.865 in 2012, pending the rising of this number before 2014, as it is expected to exceed 208,000 due to the job position that were opened at the directorate.”

In the same context, police services arrested in 2013, according to the police inspector, Abdelkader Kara Bouhedba, manager of judicial police at the GDNS, and Interpol Representative in Algeria, over 117,000 people were involved in various crimes, while the number of wanted Algerians reached 100 people.

National Central Office of Interpol in Algiers is dealing with over 2000 violations annually, through adopting the coordination and data exchange with 187 countries that joined Interpol.
