Iraq Embassy to Algiers denied the execution of three Algerian prisoners in Nasiriyah detention, south of the country.

It asserted that the statements of the Algerian League for Defending Human Rights, are just false allegations which are not based on any reliable official source.
Iraqi embassy to Algiers explained in a statement, which copy was received by Echorouk, on Friday, that it “denies altogether the allegations by the statement of the Algerian League for Defense of Human Rights, which claimed that the Iraqi authorities implement the death sentence against three Algerians in Nasiriyah prison, arguing that these are “allegations” and just a fabricated rumor  that is exposed by the official formalities which the editors of the ALDHR, who do not know the truth.
“Iraqi embassy officially confirmed that Nasiriyah prison, where there are no Arab or Foreign detainees did not implement any executions against Arab or foreign national. Iraq President and the Prime Minister did not approve any provisions of this kind since a period. Execution of death sentences against foreign nationals in Iraq, will only be after informing the embassy that is accredited in the country, according to the diplomatic rules.”
Echorouk called the National Secretary-General in charge of the relevant files at the Algerian League for Defending Human Rights, Houari Kaddour, and he confirmed that the penalty was implemented, and the Shiite militias that are loyal to the Iraqi government executed the three Algerians and the rest of the prisoners, and not the Iraqi government.”
“These militias that are loyal to the government in Baghdad raided the prison and carried out the sentence by electric shock, which is a violation of the charters and laws of the United Nations. ALDHR is investigating in the identities of the three Algerians who were executed through its source there in Iraq.”
