“IVECO” Presents Its Program For Manufacturing Vehicles In Algeria

The Minister of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production, Mr. Ali Aoun, received a delegation from the IVECO group for manufacturing Italian vehicles, headed by the regional director of the Italian company IVECO for North Africa and the Middle East, Mr. Impulso Carmelo.

During this meeting, which was attended by the Italian ambassador to Algeria, Alberto Cutillo, the regional director of the Italian company presented a project to manufacture medium and heavy utility vehicles in Algeria, which depends on meeting the needs of the Algerian market during the first phase and then heading to export during the second phase.

According to a statement by the relevant ministry, Minister Aoun extolled the bilateral relations between Algeria and Italy and stressed the need to develop a real automobile industry based on achieving local integration by recruiting local subcontractors and the need to comply with the specifications in order to obtain accreditation to start this activity as early as possible
