Criminal Court of Tizi Ouzou, east of Algiers, sentenced Monday, during its regular meetings which lasted for over two days and up to Monday, both “B.Nassim” and “K.Arezki” to life prison, while “M.Djamel” and “M.Hassane” got three years in prison.

• During the same hearing the court declared “K.Hamid”, “M.Ahsan” and “M.Farid”, now escaping from the death penalty, not guilty.

• The accused were followed by the criminal court on charges of intentional murder and joining a terrorist group, as well as possession of explosives without a licence and demolition of a building for public benefit using explosives.

• The accused participated in the assassination of the former Head of the People’s Municipal Assembly “Rabeh Issat” in Ramadan 2006 in one popular cafeteria in Ain Ezaouiya, Draa Elmizane, south west of Tizi Ouzou.

• They were also behind the twin bombing which targeted the municipal guards on the 30th May 2007 leaving two injured. They blew up the bombing in the principle entrance of the road transport station in Tizi Ouzou on the 6th June 2007 which killed a policeman and left many civilian injured.
