Foreign parties are trying to sow chaos in Algeria, through the marketing of an “Algerian Spring”, Russian Foreign Minister, Serguei Lavrov, said.
“Same parties have opened several fronts on the Algerian borders from Libya, Tunisia and Mali, which are led by the militant groups. Russia is closely following the latest developments in North Africa and the Sahel. Algeria should be careful of the same parties, using dredge of minorities in this country, as a nucleus to cause discord”.
Russian Foreign Minister, said in a statement, during his visit to Tunisia, according to what was reported in the media agencies about concerns of Western ambitions, which are placing North Africa and the Sahel under the microscope.
“Security instability and the proliferation of armed groups that threaten their interests in the region, especially since the Russian services has long conflicted with the Western services, especially the American ones, as the two parties look to North Africa and the Sahel as a fertile source of wealth, that can take advantage of it for many years, and this is why they are keen on a permanent presence under the pretext of protection of special services”.
