LDB to grant loans between 25.000 and 72.000 dinars for installing cars’ technical equipment
Local Development Bank to start next Monday granting loans for the installation of technical equipment for the use of liquefied petroleum gas on cars that use gasoline, the range value of the free loan between 25.000 and 72.000 dianrs for a period between 12 to 24 months, under the national program 2007/2011 about controlling energy.

Number of vehicles that are equipped with the petroleum gas is 20.000 cars in Algeria. The program of clean air, sponsored by national agency for the development of rationalization of energy use, aim to increase the number of cars which use liquefied petroleum gas in the next five years to avoid resorting to import the refined oil products, particularly “diesel” which is very demanded because of its low price compared to the price of gasoline of all types normal, excellent and without lead, despite Algeria is the second global source of liquefied gas with the production of 9.5 million tons annually, consuming only 300.000 ton locally, waiting to double its production by 2014.

General Manager of the Local Development Bank, Mohamed Arslene Bachetarzi, said resorting to this technique can help the normal user economise an annual amount between 23.000 dinars and 47.000 dinars, on the basis of the annual distance between 25.000 km and 50.000 km.
