Local Development Bank (BDL) offers new provisions of service
The top Manager of the local development bank (BDL) yesterday announced during an encounter in the city of Oran, in western Algeria, with a host of economic operators, a set of new measures aimed at easing banking operations for the benefit of the bank's customers including economic operators in the light of the latest provisions contained in the complementary law of finance for the current year.

He cited among the new incentive measures adopted by the BDL Bank, the launching of a smart card called “Visacarte” aimed at facilitating the circulation of hard currency funds between Algeria and foreign countries and vice-versa in the framework of regular economic activities.

This brand-new smart card, he said, can henceforth be used by the national economic operators at all the foreign banks having links with the BDL across the world notably for all those activities pertaining to export-import trade and to services.

The BDL General Manager also indicated that the withdrawal operations in hard currency at the BDL Bank had been greatly simplified for the benefit of its faithful customers.

From now on, such withdrawal operations will not exceed 5 minutes’ time thanks to the computer tool, he explained.
