Local inhabitants resilient to free old man kidnapped by terrorists

“Set Uncle Ali free, he is ill and old… without ransom if you were real Muslims… and believe in God a his Prophet ( PBUH)… We are not here to wage a war against you but we came in a peaceful way on a holly day…”. These are the words used by thousands of inhabitants of the region of “Boughni”, Kabylia region, and other neighboring villages who flocked since the break of the day on Friday to take part to the extraordinary meeting at the old man’s house who has been abducted by terrorists last week.

• The deadline is over and the move to the radial option

• After the end of the of the 24 hours set by the citizens as a deadline for the terrorists to free the old entrepreneur, scores of citizens from all age categories from different villages of the region including: Mechtrass, Bounouh, Mendess and Tirmitine assembled by the man’s house in “Beni Koufi” where the villages’ coordination has addressed the citizens asking them to keep calm and find a peaceful solution for the crisis and ask the kidnappers to set the 83 year old man free.

• Outraged by the long detention of the old man by the terrorists, the inhabitants expressed their will to start negotiations wit the kidnappers before moving to radical solutions and hunting them down wherever they are, while others have suggested to set up a special committee and go up by night top the terrorists in order to negotiate with them despite the prevailing danger.

• This move echoes that one followed by the inhabitants of the village of “ Issenadjen” and Iflissen” who braved danger volunteered to comb the forest and rivers, spreading terror on Droudkel’s strongholds and his acolytes to free one of the villagers who was abducted by the terrorists and freed three days after.

• After series of deliberations, the villages’ coordination has resorted to choose this option to the great relief of the villagers who hailed this decision. The citizens have called for an immediate action and execute the plan at earliest.

• “The message” reached the terrorists on top of “ Tinzar” mountains

• More than 300 means of transportation including cars, trucks and buses were requisitioned to transport scores of villagers to the terrorists’ strongholds on top of the Kabylia mountains starting with the village known “ Ighil Nechbel” , “Tenzar” and “Tinzar” considered as the most dangerous one because it comprises several casemates used by the freedom fighters during the revolutionary war and transformed to the terrorists’ hideouts.

• At the moment when the villagers were addressing the kidnappers using loud speakers, the terrorists were seen on top of the mountain, sparking anger among the citizens. They have discovered several casemates filled with clothes, blankets and food stuffs.

• The coordination is waiting a signal from the terrorists who have to define the timing and location to free “ uncle Ali” sane  and safe.
