Losses Of $ 50 Thousand A Day To Prevent “Braking” Exploration Of 9 Oil Wells

Two energy-related companies including Enafor and a drilling firm affiliated to Sonatrach witnessed two accidents that occurred on Monday. The company’s management immediately opened an investigation into the damage and conducted a search for those behind the accident which has been recurrent on a daily basis at the enterprise level.
This was the case with device No. 5, following the fall of the main shaft of the excavator and the engraving “Enafor” No. 16, because of the cutting of the main rope.
According to Echorouk sources, the Enafor Enterprise recorded yesterday two incidents, which led to the cessation of drilling devices 5 and 16 for an indefinite period, while deep investigations were opened to investigate those behind these incidents, which are likely to be due to the lack of proper rehabilitation.
The preliminary inspections confirmed that Excavator No. 16 stopped working due to the cutting of the main rope, which led to the fall of several equipment that caused the break of the drilling platform, while the fall of the main shaft of the excavator was behind the damage of the device No. 5.
There was a serious loss of equipment without recording any casualties.
According to the same source, it is also expected that the commissions of inquiry to quantify the losses incurred in terms of material are underway as this incident is the third of its kind at the level of the exploration company “Enafor” since the beginning of the 2019 summer season.
The reports confirm that the reason for the recurrence of these incidents lies in the absence of competencies and specialization of the heads of offices and also in the neglect for the maintenance of equipment, which leads each time to the fall of the crane or the disruption of work, not to mention the departure to retirement of a large number of experienced executives without leaving seasoned successors in these positions.
The same sources also confirmed that the employment method that relies solely on the labor offices of Ouargla (southern Algeria) and the protests staged by the unemployed citizens in the region led to delays in fresh recruitments.
In the past few years, Enafor has acquired many brand-new drilling equipment without however hiring new executives.
