Lotfi Raissi to Echorouk: “My book would shed light on my life and FBIâ€
Algerian pilot Lotfi Raissi
Algerian pilot Lotfi Raissi said he would establish a private airline from Britain in order to confirm he is continuing his career, even if he spent nine years away from his profession.
- Lotfi Raissi asserted; “Official apology from Britain would remove my name from the black list of pilots. I will be back to aviation my childhood dream. My family has a close relationship with this field as my father spent 35 years as a worker in Air Algérie, and my uncle died in an air crash in Tamenrasset, South of Algeria. I intend to establish a company from Britain where I can open lines to transport pilgrims and Umrah performers”.
- “I will release a book about details of his life and wrong detention, as well as aspects of trial, FBI and other events. It will be published by a French Publishing House on the tenth remembrance of 9/11 events that will distribute about 6000 copies in Britain and USA. The book will also be available in three languages Arabic, French and English, many countries requested it including Tunisia and Lebanon.
- “I was born in the ancient district of Algiers Bab El Oued. I studied in Algiers before deciding to complete studies in Britain and then in the USA where I was trained as a pilot. I return to Algeria before detention. Now, I own a private energy company in England. Currently, I am moving between Britain and Algeria, my lovely country that I’ll always defend”.
