Louh: “Three terrorists involved in French Gourdel's assassination wiped out”

The three terrorists, who were eliminated recently in the province of Medea (91-km south of Algiers), have been identified as members of the terrorist group that murdered the French national Herve Gourdel in 2014, announced Monday in Algiers Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals, Tayeb Louh.

“The three terrorists, eliminated recently by a detachment of the People’s National Army in the province of Medea, have been duly identified.

They were the target of an international arrest warrant in the case of the assassination of French national (Herve Gourdel),” Mr Tayeb Louh told the press on the sidelines of the plenary session of the People’s National Assembly (Lower House of Parliament).

The three terrorists have been identified as being Serradj Mohamed, Herdafi Mahieddine and Rabie Ayachi, said the justice minister, adding that “the identification of the other members of the terrorist group is still underway.”

The French national, a mountain hiker, was savagely assassinated by a terrorist group after he had been abducted on 21 September 2014 in the region of Ait-Ouabane, in the province of Tizi Ouzou (103-km east of Algiers).
