Madjid Bougherra in Qatar for treatment

The Algerian international defender Madjid Bougherra arrived the day before yesterday to Doha, Qatar, on board of the flight London- Doha to follow a treatment on his injury at one of the most outstanding sports clinic in the Middle- East.

• Numerous world athletes chose this clinic in the past to treat their injuries including the Algerian player Rafik Saifi who went there for his problem at the back during the first legs of the Qatari league. Madjid Bougherra started the first sessions yesterday morning.

• The “Magic” will be treated by the Professor Chelbi who picked an intensive programme on daily basis starting from 09 am to 05 pm that will last until March 26 in a bid to help the player recover from his knee injury, contracted during the Scottish Derby Glasgow Rangers- Celtic Glasgow, at earliest.

• The player’s visit to Doha was kept secret, as many sources have denied the news surrounding his treatment in the Qatari capital city including him.

• Bougherra’s choice of Qatar was not fortuitous and aimed at staying away from the media uproar in case of his sojourn in one of the European capitals few months before the kick off of the most prestigious football competition.

• On a TV set as a consultant for the Champions League matches

• The Qatar- based TV channel Al Jazeera Sports seized this opportunity to invite the Algerian player on its TV set to analyse the Champions League matches.

• Madjid Bougherra was present yesterday on the studio and dissected the matches Barcelona Vs Stuttgart and Bordeaux Vs Olympiakos.

• The experience will be renewed all along his stay in Qatar, as Madjid Bougherra has given his go ahead to Al Jazeera’s managers to analyse the future matches.
