Madjid Bougherra to move to Qatar for treatment
The Algerian international defender Madjid Bougherra is set to fly to Qatar capital city , Doha, next week to undergo series of tests by an outstanding French professor, in order to treat his injury that got worse over the last week.

Glasgow Rangers star has received a telephone call from the former international Djamel Belmadi who offered his assistance to Madjid Bougherra in a move to recover at earliest from his right knee injury.

Belmadi’s intervention could persuade Madjid Bougherra to move to Qatar although the Algerian Federation has decided to transfer him to Saint Raphael clinic in Southern France, where he has been treated in the past along with his teammate Antar YAhia before the match versus Egypt as part of the combined qualifiers to the African and World Cup tournaments.

Madjid Bougherra missed the opportunity top play yesterday the Scottish cup quarter finals against Dundee United which ended with draw 3-3, forcing the two clubs to meet again in order to determine the winner.

The defender has also missed the Scottish derby against Celtic Glasgow that wound up with the win of the “blues” in addition to the friendly match versus Serbia that took place here in Algiers on March 3, on account of the same injury.
