Magazine: Army will remain unified whatever the conditions
Algeria’s military institution said the Army will remain republican and unified as its strength comes from its unity, said “El-Djeich” magazine (the Army Magazine) in response to allegations about internal conflicts.
“The National Popular Army had a long path characterized by heroic positions and important phases in its glorious history. In spite of decisive events in Algeria’s history, it remained republican and unified. Its strength comes from its unity inherited from the National Liberation Army,” said the magazine which represents the military institution.
In response to allegations about the Army’s weakness, the Army institution said it faced difficult conditions when the Tiguentourine gas complex was attacked by terrorists. “As usual, it was responsible and professional. It quickly and decisively intervened and carried out a successful operation. It saved Algeria from a real disaster without negotiations and far from external pressures and foreign interference.”
“This experience made the National Popular Army stronger and more determined to proudly continue performing its constitutional missions in a professional way. This to contribute in building Algeria, supporting its institutions, defending borders, preserving its dignity and sovereignty and ensuring the safety of people.”
