Maj. Gen. Gaid Salah Recommends To Keep Army On Alert

Deputy Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of the National People’s Army, Maj. Gen. Ahmed Gaid Salah, renewed his emphasis on the importance of the tasks of the National People’s Army personnel in the sixth military region of Tamanrasset (Southern Algeria).

Maj. Gen. Ahmed Gaid Salah, said, during a meeting with chiefs of staff, regional managers and officials of security services in the south of Algeria, where he attended the comprehensive presentation on the territory of jurisdiction, by Maj. Gen. Meftah Sawab, right, commander of the region, at the headquarters of the 6th regional leadership of “Martyr Haibawi Wafi”, that “these tasks require everyone’s ability to pre-empt the face of various threats and risks, and respond with the required effectiveness, any emergency of any kind or origin, to continue to crack down on the movement of criminals and lackeys of the various forms of smuggling and drug gangs, in order to save our country from these pests and dangerous evils”.

He urged “the need to maintain a state of maximum alert, be more vigilant, alerted, and vigilant in order to ensure a complete and certain success of the strategy of the senior leadership of the National People’s Army, to maintain the security of Algeria, its people and maintain stability”.

In the second day of his visit to the Sixth military region, the Maj. Gen. Ahmed Gaid Salah, inspected some units of Tamanrasset sector and inaugurated the launch of some of the operational, administrative and pedagogical facilities.

He went then to the air base of Tamanrasset (Southern Algeria), where he met with officials of this important base, and visited some of its facilities, and inaugurated the leadership of the modern military aircraft.

His visited the Sixth Brigade headquarters for radar detection and surveillance, where he listened to a presentation by the commander of the regional air defense for the region, then inspected some operational and administrative and pedagogical facilities, before inaugurating a hall for the operations of radar coverage systems.
