Maj. Gen. Gaid Saleh: “Armed Forces Take Measures To Protect Algerian Borders”

Armed forces take all the deterrent, preventive and precautionary measures that ensure the protection of national borders from anyone who seeks to cause chaos in the country, because they are conscious of the size of the security challenges that are surrounding the country’s security, Deputy Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of the National People’s Army, Maj. Gen. Ahmed Gaid Salah, said on Monday.

In a congratulatory message on the occasion of New Year’s Celebrations 2017, that he addressed to all officers and non-commissioned officers, men of ranks, and civilian users and all their families, the Maj. Gen. Ahmed Gaid Salah called upon the members of the military institution to show more action; “There is no fear for homeland today and tomorrow, as long as it is protected by Allah’s strength, and as long as we have armed forces with high competence, awareness and determination”.

Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army spoke about the field results and the successes that was achieved by the armed forces in 2016, particularly in counter-terrorism, adding that the year 2017 will notice further achievement and development at all the levels.

In this context, he asserted; “Remnants of criminal terrorism are uttering the last breath in our country, and will be eliminated completely, thanks to the efforts and strong determination that will not relent, and which is backed by the directives of the President of the Republic, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and the Minister of National Defense”.

“We praise the efforts that were made and the real and field successes that were achieved during the training year 2015-2016, which culminated in the conduct of exercises like real archery that confirmed the outstanding and high-level of Algerian armed forces, because Algeria is great with its history and geography, and our forces is always in the face of the challenges”.

“Efforts were marked by realizing a lot of results, including the development of training sector during the school and training year 2015-2016, in addition to the marked improvement in the field of social affairs for the benefit of all the users of the Ministry of National Defense”.

“Results that are achieved are associated with the correctness of the studied steps and rationality to continue the professional path, that Algeria launched in 2007. We will continue this effort steadily and adapt it according to the current and future requirements. The year 2017 will witness a boom quality to achieve further development at all levels, relying on its own capacities and capabilities”.

Maj. Gen. Ahmed Gaid Salah, recommended the National People’s Army personnel, to show more work because there is no fear for our country today and tomorrow, as long as it is preserved by Allah, and as long as it has an army of this efficiency, awareness and insistence that is destined by Algeria, and which has the example of its predecessor in the past through the honorable history”.
