Maj. Gen. Hamel: “Police Services Are Ready To Resolve Algerian Illegal Immigrants' Problems In Germany”

Algerian police services are ready to cooperate with the German counterpart to find a solution to the problem of Algerians who are living illegally in this country, General Manager of National Security, Major General, Abdelghani Hamel, said.

“Algerian police services are ready to cooperate with the German counterpart in order to find a solution to the problem of Algerians who are living illegally in Germany, as the matter comes to finding a solution at the technical level.” 

General Manager of the National Security, added, on Thursday, after his reception of the General Manager of the Federation of German Police Services, Dieter Roman, that among the points that have been addressed with his German counterpart, there is the question of Algerians who are residing illegally in this country. 

“Solution at the technical level includes the reintegration. There are agreements in this area that must be respected. On the other hand, the cooperation between the Algerian and German police services is realized through an exchange of information, expertise, experience and training.”

Regarding the training, the security official pointed out that it mainly includes new ways to fight crime, such as cyber-crime and e-terrorism.

“German counterpart invited us for the organization of two special exercises between the two forces.”

German General Manager of Police Services’ Federation said that the bilateral cooperation is “good”, asserting that it can be improved. 

Major General Hamel concluded his speech saying; “Fight against cross-border and nations crime, counter-terrorism and the protection of human lives of different hazards is one of the areas which deserve deepening the atmosphere of mutual trust.”
