Mali receives Algerian military aid on board 5 cargo planes
Malian government said it received an important military aid from Algeria in the form of equipment and fuel for military mechanisms on board 5 cargo planes, AFP reported.

AFP quoted a senior official in the Malian government as saying the Algerian military aid is important because it contains fuel for our military troops and supplies of sleeping bags and particularly weapons. The Algerian military aid was transported on board five cargo planes.

Military cooperation between Algeria and Mali was the focus of the talks between Bouteflika and the Malian Defence Minister, during his visit to Algeria, while the crisis between the central government in Bamako and the Touareg rebels was solved thanks to the Algerian ambassador Abdelkrim Gharib in Bamako, The latter succeeded in finding a solution after years of conflict between the two parties at issue and after the rebels accepted to lay down their weapons.

The Algerian military aid coincides with the Interior Minister’s statements, who confirmed that weapons used by the terrorist group GSPC or AQIM seeping through the Algerian southern borders, extending for a distance of tens of hundreds of miles with Mali.
