Malian Army arrest four Algerian terrorists on its borders

The border region between Mali and Algeria witnesses a resurgence of violence after nearly two months of calm following bloody clashes between the Malian Army troops and the rebellious Touaregs who reached a truce thanks to the Algerian mediation.

  •   An armed gang made up of 4 individuals was arrested in the southern borders of the country nearby the Malian province of “Kidal” after exchanging gunshots with a patrol on duty to insure the smooth running of the local elections in the region, the Malian army revealed.
  • According to this source, the arrested individuals belong to an Algerian terrorist group” One of our army patrols clashed with Algerian terrorists, the gunshots led to the arrest of four criminals” it said.
  • A Malian military officer went on saying to the French News Agency” We have seized a batch of arms and ammunitions in the possession of the terrorists and a car lot” denying revealing the number. Meanwhile, local authorities in the region of Kidal have declared that the local elections ran smooth.
  • The terrorist act coincides with the news issued by the US center specialized in the monitoring of terrorist activities over the internet which reveals that the “ Salafit Group for Call and Combat” issued threats against the British government in which they vow to kill the British hostage in case where the so called Abu Kutada is not released from the British prison
