General Manager of the company of conducting the contributions of the animal production “Proda”, Kamal Chadi announced the setting of the white meat prices at 250 dinars per kilo and the red meat at 680 dinars per kilo, during the month of fasting of Ramadan, at the level of 80 points, distributed in 19 localities of Algeria.

• “These prices have been identified in the framework of the convention with the farmers and a number of butchers, particularly in the big cities. Application of those prices was launched last Wednesday in 60 points of sale, that number will be expanded to 80 points during Ramadan”, he says.
• Representative of the General Union of Algerian Traders, El Hadj Boulenouar, said the government watchdog belonging to the Ministries of Finance and Trade will not be able to control the market very well, because their role is only control over the 1.2 million legitimate traders, compared to double the number of traders and practitioners of business activities on the black market, who are supported by non official networks that are active in various trades in a parallel way making the mission of the control almost impossible.
