Arab summit that will be held in the Mauritanian capital comes in exceptional circumstances that are experienced by the Arab region and represents an opportunity for all Arab countries to engage in dialogue in order to come up with results to ensure a better future for the Arab world, Minister of Maghreb Affairs, African Union and the Arab League, Abdelkader Messahel, said.

Messahel explained in a press statement upon his arrival, on Friday, to Nouakchott to participate in the work of the preparatory meeting of the Foreign Affairs Minister for the 27th session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the summit level, to be held on July 25 and 26; “Algeria hopes that this summit will take historic decisions to confront the situation in Palestine, which is the core issue for the Arabs”.

“The summit also represents an opportunity for Arab leaders to consult on other Arab issues such as the situation in Libya and some Middle East regions, and to exchange views about the threats of terrorism, which threatens the security and stability of our countries” adding that “In front of the evolution of the world, the Arab world must cope with what is a Geostrategic conflict”, highlighting the priority of Algeria after finding a solution to the overall Arab conflicts to reform the Arab system.
