More than 100,000 DZ taxes must be paid in cash
Algerian finance ministry will prevent paying taxes in cash if they exceed 100,000 DZ to pave the way for modern payment means such as checks and credit cards.
In a new decision, the ministry said it will fix minimal level of paying taxes in cash at 100,000 DZ in an attempt to eliminate transactions payment by “bags of money,” to keep watch on money movement and face money laundering attempts.
The government also decided to approve an exceptional compensatory system for members of deal commissions, contests arbitration commissions, rapporteurs and officials in charge of deal commissions writing.
This is meant to enhance transparency in deals granting and stop bribes.
