Moroccan charlatans smuggle their products to use them for sorcery in Algeria
Security forces of the province of Ain Temouchent (western Algeria) yesterday arrested three charlatans as part of a large plan launched by the local authorities to eradicate sorcery and charlatanism in the region.

A couple was busted inside their homes red-handed while practicing their rituals on women while several stuffs were seized including eggs, spices, herbs, mercury and lead. The man is s 68 while his wife is 60.

A third charlatan was arrested in the province of Saida (western Algeria) by security forces after being tipped that the man was practicing sorcery in the tiny locality of Al Aameria. He is 51.

The three were put under custody pending their appearance before the judge.

It should be noted that the number of charlatans arrested since the beginning of the year reached 12; most of them operate in coordination with their Moroccan counterparts who grew masters in the domain.

The products used in their sorcery are smuggled through the Moroccan borders with high prices.
