Moroccan, French And Israeli Websites Incite Protests In Algeria Through Facebook

Housing and Construction Minister, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, attacked political parties without mentioning their names, and blamed them of the repeated speeches that Algeria is living a political crisis and a comprehensive blockage, saying: “We read about people who are talking about the blockage and crisis, so we tell them that the blockage is present in their minds, before he corrects: “Mouradia door is really blocked and closed because the President’s post is reserved until 2019”.

Minister of housing, talked in a press conference on Saturday, following an inspection visit, which led him to Algiers Grand Mosque, as a spokesman for the government, who chose a political speech par excellence, about the involvement of five foreign websites, in fueling the street through Facebook, and inciting the protests, noting: “Well we know that many parties stand behind the protests in the provinces of Bejaia, Bouira and Boumerdes (eastern Algiers), and there are five websites who promote confusion through Facebook, a Moroccan website, and two French, an Israeli, a German and other websites”.

Tebboun was Asked about the outcome of the protests that were monitored by the security services last year, which showed that most of them were due to housing problems, and he replied: “Housing sector is among the sectors that are most exploited, the main employed in the protests. But let me tell you that citizens protested one time for housing and a political official was behind the matter, and once I called him, the protests stopped after an hour”.

The minister refused to disclose the official’s name, despite media insisted to know him, and he only answered that the security services know these people and holds their pictures and data, and these people realize that they are known to the security services. Housing sector is one of the most important factors of stability and security.

Teboune defended the President Bouteflika’s program, confirming that the actual President of Algeria will stay to the end of the fourth term, adding that the projects, will not stop especially those which are attached to social transfers, for which the government annually monitored significant financial sums, saying that people who speak about the people blockage are wrong because there is no political crisis.
